| Submit your entries here, and remember the rules which are once again listed below.
It has to be prose or poetry(a prose is like a poem but it tells a story more clearly.)
Less then 200 words long, but not shorter then 75
Try not to make it holiday related
and all submissions are due by December 26th
You can only submit one, to the forum that will shortly be put up.
Write away my dear minions.

| Right guys, I would have posted this yesterday, but the forums weren't working on either of my computers.. :/ Anyway, here it is. I just have to warn you; poetry isn't normally my thing, and so please forgive me for its awfulness... - Spoiler:
The foe.
Through the valleys, o'er the moor
There she sweeps, higher, higher.
Across the skies and through the clouds
With jaws of death and eyes of fire.
Faster, faster, the wind does shriek
And blows her on its back.
Forth she flies, with mouth agape
And looms for the attack.
And look! She comes, the people cry
With terror in their hearts.
To run, to flee, abandon all
But the world she tears apart.
Die! She howls, she shrieks, she cries
And falls upon them all.
Distinguish not 'tween man and house
And cackle as they fall.
And thus she wages without regret
Her war upon the land.
Death unleash through silver talon
That flicker atop grey hand.
Then comes a time with moon arisen
To show the land in pieces.
Hunger sated, thirst abated
The people she releases.
Through the valleys, o'er the moor
The mountaintops to kiss.
Across the clouds and through the skies
The storm, she fades to mist.

| Hi! Newbie here! Don't eat me! I am entering in the contest. Warnings for: suckishness, pretending to be smart, discussions of the universe. Also, in prose not poem. - Spoiler:
To the hilltop, the child goes. To the hill above the sea, to the hill with the gnarled tree. The child nestles between the roots, draws bony knees up. The child poses a question “Where did the universe come from?” in a high, unrefined voice.
The tree's leaves rustle and it creaks out a reply. “The universe comes from a seed, the seed of all life.”
The ocean crashes and rumbles in protest. “It came from above, small drops spreading, adding to the mass.”
The rocks crack and shift. “The universe came from heat and pressure, pressing nothing into something.”
The child thinks about each answer. The child turns to the tree, “Thank you.” The child faces the sea, “Thank you.” The child lays a hand on the ground, “Thank you.” The child stands up, and goes back to the village. Sometimes though, the child will ask the stars, “Where did the universe come from?”
They always answer in a wispy tone, “Far, far away.”

| I totally cheated. It based on some story I had done last year and had to include morpheme words, it was the same idea but new writing. | |
